Aspiring comedians and anyone looking to boost their confidence are being invited to take centre stage at The Core this autumn as a new stand-up comedy course comes to Solihull.

Find Your Funny is a seven-week course led by award-winning comedian James Cook, giving participants the chance to learn the art of stand-up comedy in a supportive and practical environment.

Running every Tuesday evening from 15 September to 27 October at The Studio in The Core, the course is designed for complete beginners as well as those looking to develop their performance skills.

Participants will learn how to turn everyday experiences into comedy material, develop their own comedic style, write and refine jokes, and build confidence on stage.

An optional live showcase will take place on 3 November, allowing students to perform their routines in front of an audience.

The course forms part of The Core's wider programme of creative workshops and classes for adults and young people this autumn.

"No previous experience is needed – just be willing to have a go."

The course runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm each Tuesday and is open to adults aged 18 and over.
