A 12-year-old pupil at Solihull School has achieved an outstanding A* in A Level Mathematics, scoring an impressive 296 out of 300 marks.

Dominic Pugaciauskas, who has always had a passion for mathematics, is celebrating the remarkable result alongside his family and teachers at Solihull School.

His father, Rimas Pugaciauskas, said the family was "absolutely delighted and incredibly proud" of Dominic's achievement.

"We're absolutely delighted and incredibly proud of Dominic. He's always loved maths, so it's wonderful to see him do so well. We're really grateful to his Solihull teachers for all their encouragement and support."

Dominic said he was pleased to see his hard work pay off and is already looking ahead to his next challenge.

"I'm really happy with the result. I feel that all my hard work leading up to the exam has paid off, and I'm looking forward to studying Further Maths next year, as well as continuing with rugby, judo and playing piano."

Dominic's achievement has also been praised by Solihull School's Head of Mathematics, Mr Bishop, who described him as an exceptionally gifted pupil.

"A quite remarkable feat from an exceptionally gifted, determined, and modest pupil," he said.

Dominic will now progress to Further Mathematics next year, alongside continuing his interests outside the classroom, including rugby, judo and piano.

The result adds another exceptional achievement to Solihull School's A Level results this year, with the school celebrating its best-ever results.
