Police have urged people not to share unverified information online after a social media post claimed a serious sexual assault had taken place at Babbs Mill Park in Solihull.

Solihull Police said they were aware of the post but had received no reports of a sexual assault of this nature.

The force added that, at this stage, no evidence had been found to suggest the incident had taken place.

Police warned that sharing unverified information could cause concern within the local community.

Anyone who has been subjected to a sexual assault is urged to report it to police by calling 101, or 999 if they are in immediate danger.
