A new enforcement camera has been installed at a Solihull junction outside a school, but a date for when it will become operational has yet to be confirmed.
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) confirmed a camera was installed at the B4102 Warwick Road/New Road junction on Wednesday, 21 October.
The camera will be used to enforce restrictions on motorists entering and stopping in the yellow box junction.
However, signage is still to be installed before enforcement can begin.
A SMBC spokesperson said: "We can confirm an enforcement camera was installed at this site on Wednesday 21 October.
"We are currently working with our contractor to agree when signage will be installed and when the camera will go live.
"This should be confirmed in the coming weeks."
The junction is one of four locations selected by the council as part of its plans to introduce moving traffic enforcement across the borough.
The measures are intended to improve road safety, reduce congestion and tackle dangerous driving.
Cllr Ken Hawkins, the council's cabinet member for environment and infrastructure, said: "Stronger enforcement at these locations will reduce dangerous manoeuvres, cut congestion, and ultimately make our roads safer for road users and pedestrians alike – including school children."
During the first six months of enforcement at each location, first-time offenders will receive a written warning, while repeat offenders will receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
PCNs will cost £70, reduced to £35 if paid within 21 days.
