Jet2 has announced the launch of flights and holidays to Tunisia from Birmingham Airport for summer 2027.

The new route will give holidaymakers across the region more options for overseas travel, with flights to the North African destination operating twice a week from 1 May until 30 October 2027.

Jet2 said the announcement came in response to demand from customers and independent travel agents across the region, giving travellers more choice when it comes to choosing a holiday destination.

The new service will allow customers booking through Jet2 to choose from a selection of three to five-star hotels across popular Tunisian resorts, including Port el Kantaoui, Skanes and Mahdia.

Tunisia offers a mix of beaches, historic sites and local cuisine, with the addition of this destination meaning Jet2 will now operate to 68 destinations from Birmingham Airport in summer 2027.

Jet2 CEO, Steve Heapy, said: "We are thrilled to be giving customers and independent travel agents even more choice from Birmingham Airport thanks to the launch of Tunisia as our latest new addition.

Chief commercial officer at Birmingham Airport, Matthew Hazelwood, said: "Tunisia remains a popular destination from Birmingham Airport, and we are delighted that Jet2.com is providing customers with even more choice and flexibility from their local airport on this route."

Customers will be able to choose between package holidays through Jet2holidays or flight-only options with Jet2.com.

This route is now on sale for travel from summer 2027.
