Drivers are being warned of a temporary road closure on Friday Lane in Solihull next week while carriageway repairs are carried out.

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) has announced that Friday Lane will be closed between Catney Island and The Woodlands from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Wednesday, 30 September.

The temporary restriction is needed to allow carriageway patching works to be completed safely.

The works are being carried out on behalf of SMBC.

A signed diversion route will be in place via Friday Lane, Catney Island, Solihull Road, Eastcote Lane and Barston Lane.

The same route will apply in the opposite direction.

Emergency access for police, fire and ambulance services responding to incidents will be maintained throughout the closure.

Pedestrian access to properties within the affected area will also remain available via designated routes during the works.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys and follow diversion signage while the repairs are carried out.
