M42 closed in Solihull this weekend for crucial HS2 construction

A full weekend road closure is taking place in Solihull.
The M42 will be closed from 9pm on Friday 24 July until 5am on Monday 27 July.
The closure will be between junctions 5a and 9 northbound and junctions 7a and 6 southbound.
This is due to essential HS2 works constructing the M42 twin-box and Water Orton viaducts.
Drivers have been warned to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.
Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place.
