Dorridge golf club has lodged a new planning application with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

Four Ashes Golf Centre has submitted a plan to the authority to turn a redundant putting green into a car park for visitors.

Few details are included in the application which was submitted on August 14, but an included car park layout plan shows the old putting green, which is no longer in use, converted into a space for 20 cars and four bikes.

The application is the latest after the Four Ashes Road-based club applied to build three padel courts last year.

As the Local Democracy Reporting Service previously reported Solihull planners gave the green light for those courts so that visitors could play one of the fastest growing sports in the country at the venue.

The latest application show this new car park is next to the newly built courts.

The golf club is a well-established business centred on the driving range which was built in the early 1980's. The centre offers a driving range, an 18 hole crazy golf course, a cafe/bar and golf shop.
