Most people walking along Knowle High Street will recognise its shops, pubs and historic buildings, but how many know the stories behind them?

A heritage trail created by the Knowle Society is giving residents and visitors the chance to uncover centuries of local history through a self-guided walk around the heart of the village.

Titled A Walk Through Time, the trail takes walkers to 12 locations along the High Street, highlighting buildings that have played an important role in Knowle's past.

Along the route, visitors can discover the people, businesses and events that helped shape the village into the community it is today.

The guide features a map of the route as well as historic photographs, offering a glimpse into how the area has changed over the years.

Produced by the Knowle Society, the project aims to celebrate the village's heritage and encourage people to take a closer look at the history that surrounds them every day.

Whether you're a lifelong resident, new to the area or simply passing through, the trail offers a chance to see Knowle from a different perspective and uncover fascinating stories hidden in plain sight.
