A new retail space designed to support independent brands, entrepreneurs and creatives, has opened its doors in Solihull town centre.

Indespoke, a curated retail development platform for emerging product brands, has launched its second concept space at 30 Mill Lane, creating a new home for independent businesses across the region.

The space brings together five key elements under one roof: a curated retail environment, pop-up experiences and activations, structured business support, a community of makers, and an online marketplace.

The concept aims to help independent brands grow sustainable businesses while giving shoppers the opportunity to discover unique products and support smaller creators.

The Solihull opening follows the success of Indespoke's first location at Birmingham's Great Western Arcade.

The new store will provide a permanent physical presence for a growing collective of businesses, many of which currently operate online or through temporary pop-up events.

Alongside retail opportunities, brands involved with Indespoke can access a structured growth programme, including an Ambassador Programme for selected businesses, a live vendor leaderboard to encourage collaboration, and awards recognising brands that actively engage with and develop through the platform.

Cllr Heather Delaney, Deputy Leader of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Portfolio Holder for Economy, Business and Skills, welcomed the arrival of the new store.

She said: "We are delighted to welcome Indespoke to Solihull town centre and to see this exciting opportunity for local entrepreneurs.

"Independent businesses play an important role in shaping the character of our town. The arrival of Indespoke gives visitors the chance to discover unique products while supporting independent businesses and local creativity.

"It also provides a valuable platform for emerging brands to reach new customers and flourish. We hope it will be a real success."

CJ Lloyd Webley, Founder of Indespoke, said the new Solihull location marked an important milestone for the company.

He said: "Indespoke was created to give independent brands more than just a place to sell.

"Our vision is to build an ecosystem where founders can access retail, business development, strategic partnerships and long-term opportunities that help them grow sustainable businesses.

"Opening in Solihull is another important milestone in that journey.

"We're proud to be creating a platform that champions creativity, supports entrepreneurship and brings together a community of exceptional independent brands.

"We look forward to becoming part of the local business community and helping even more founders take the next step in their growth."

Indespoke is now open at 30 Mill Lane, where customers can browse a selection of products from independent brands and discover the stories behind the makers and entrepreneurs behind them.
