Solihull cyclist in 60s hospitalised after car collision

A cyclist in his 60s was taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries following a collision with a car in Solihull.

Police were called to Four Ashes Road, near Gate Lane, at around 2.25pm on Wednesday, September 30, after reports of a crash involving a car and a bicycle.

The cyclist was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to Four Ashes Road, near Gate Lane, following a collision between a car and a bike at around 2.25pm on Wednesday (30 September).

"The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries.

"The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping us with our enquiries."
