Solihull Community Housing announces new chief executive

Solihull Community Housing (SCH) has announced the appointment of Mark Pearson as its new chief executive.

Mark brings nearly 30 years of social housing experience to the role, having previously served as chief executive of Leeds and Yorkshire Housing Association and managing director of 54North Homes.

Speaking about his appointment, Mark said: "I am proud to be joining the team at Solihull Community Housing, as their vision to create safe, healthy and good quality homes is one that resonates strongly with me.

"I look forward to leading the organisation and working alongside my new colleagues to continue building on the fantastic work they already do each day to help residents thrive in their communities."

Simon Wilson, chair of the board at SCH, said: "On behalf of the SCH Board, I am delighted that Mark is joining us as our new Chief Executive.

"Mark brings extensive experience as a leader in the housing sector, and I know that he will be welcomed by all at SCH and our partners in Solihull Council."

Mark takes over from Lee Sugden, who has served as interim chief executive for the last six months.

SCH said it looks forward to working with Mark as he leads the organisation through the coming months and supports its goal of delivering the best services for customers, partners and communities.
