Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP has launched a competition to find the Local Pub of the Year across Solihull West and Shirley.

The competition aims to celebrate pubs across the constituency and recognise the role they play in bringing local communities together.

Residents are being invited to nominate their favourite pub for the chance to be named Local Pub of the Year.

Nominations are now open and will close on Friday, December 11.

Dr Shastri-Hurst, MP for Solihull West and Shirley, said: "Our local pubs across Solihull West and Shirley are an essential part of our community and what makes this such a special place to live.

"Pubs are about so much more than just food and drink. They bring people together and help create a real sense of belonging in our communities.

"I want to celebrate the pubs that mean so much to local residents and hear directly from people about their favourites."
