Man arrested after Shirley stabbing

A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Shirley left another man injured.

Police were called to Stratford Road at around 4.20pm on Saturday, 12 September, following reports of an attack.

The victim suffered injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.

West Midlands Police said detectives investigating the incident have arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and Section 18 wounding.

He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The force said its investigation remains ongoing and is appealing for information from members of the public.
