Solihull's beloved summer fest celebrates milestone with iconic line-up

Solihull Summer Fest celebrated a decade of live music as thousands of festival-goers gathered at Tudor Grange Park for its 10th anniversary celebrations.
The annual event returned to the town with a line-up of well-known artists, including Craig David, Culture Club and JLS, alongside food stalls, activities and entertainment for families and music fans.
The milestone weekend saw crowds come together to enjoy performances from some of the biggest names to appear at the festival, which has grown into a popular fixture in Solihull's events calendar over the past 10 years.
Among those taking part was the Matt Gallagher Foundation, which joined the festival as a charity partner to raise awareness of motor neurone disease (MND) and its work supporting families affected by the condition.
For the family-run Solihull charity, the event was particularly meaningful as it continues the legacy of founder Matt Gallagher, who died in March.
A spokesperson for the foundation said: "It means a lot to our foundation as obviously it helps us raise awareness for MND.
"It's a family-run charity based in Solihull, and to be able to continue banging the drum and do what my dad would have loved means a lot.
"Especially now he's passed, continuing to do something in his legacy and in his local area means a lot to us."
The foundation said being part of the festival would help it reach more people and continue supporting families across the Midlands affected by MND.
As Solihull Summer Fest looks back on 10 years of bringing live music to the town, the anniversary celebrations highlighted both the festival's growth and the community connections built around it.
