The MP for Solihull West and Shirley has praised the dedication of staff after visiting a local care home this week.
Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst spent time at Priory Care Home, where he met residents and staff and learned more about the care and support provided at the home.
During the visit, the MP spoke with residents about their experiences and heard stories from their lives, while also seeing first-hand the environment created by the care team.
He also met staff to discuss their roles and the importance of delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
The visit highlighted the work carried out by the Priory Care Home team to support residents to live with dignity, comfort and independence while remaining active members of the home community.
Following the visit, Dr Shastri-Hurst said: "It was a pleasure to visit Priory Care Home and spend time with both residents and staff.
"I had a lovely time speaking with residents and hearing their life stories, but what stood out most was the dedication of the staff.
"The care, compassion and professionalism they show every day is truly remarkable, and it is clear they work tirelessly to create a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for residents.
"I would like to thank everyone at Priory Care Home for making me feel so welcome and for the invaluable work they do."
Priory Care Home said it was pleased to welcome the local MP and share more about the support it provides for residents and their families.
The home said visits such as these help raise awareness of the important role care services play within the community.
