Man dies after e-bike crash in Shirley as police appeal for dashcam footage

Officers from West Midlands Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for information and footage after a man died in Shirley.

On 11 September between 1.30pm and 2pm, a man in his 60s was riding an e-bike in Tanworth Lane when he came off and suffered significant head injuries.

He was taken to hospital, but died a short time later.

West Midlands Police are not currently looking for suspects, but are hoping to piece together the man's movements before he came off his bike, and how exactly it happened.

As part of their enquiries, the SCIU is now looking to gather any CCTV or dashcam images which might help.

A number of witnesses stopped and helped the man before he was taken to hospital.
