A Coventry man has been charged following a sexual assault investigation linked to a number of incidents in Coventry and Solihull.

Coventry Police said officers have been investigating reports of women being approached by a man in Coventry city centre and Solihull town centre over the last month.

The force said the man allegedly kissed the hands of a number of women.

As part of the investigation, 33-year-old Mohammed Naeem, from Coventry, has been charged with sexual assault on a female and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Naeem appeared before Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 23 September.

Police are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have experienced a similar incident to come forward.
