Free Solihull landlord forum to cover fraud risks and law changes
By Emily Griffin 29th Sep 2026
Landlords and managing agents in Solihull are being invited to attend a free forum next month offering advice, updates on legislation and the chance to raise issues with the council.
The Solihull Landlord Forum will take place on Thursday 8 October from 6pm to 9pm at the Civic Suite in Manor Square.
The event will include a session on reference fraud from Ferndown Estates, updates on legislation from the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA), and information on how Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) supports landlords.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other landlords and ask questions about issues affecting the private rented sector.
Cllr Mark Parker, SMBC's cabinet member for housing, said: "Private-rented landlords have an important role in helping to meet housing needs across Solihull, and we are committed to supporting them and responding to the issues that matter to them most.
"This Forum offers a valuable opportunity for landlords to learn more about the support available to them, meet our team in person, and talk to us about issues that matter to them.
"Whether you're a landlord who manages one or a number of properties – or even if you are thinking of becoming a landlord – we look forward to seeing you for what will be an interesting and informative evening."
The event is free to attend, but places are limited and advance registration is required and can be done at this link.
For more information or to register, visit the council's landlord forum webpage.
