One of three Solihull councillors caught in a racism and misogyny storm after an undercover sting has quit the authority.
Chris Whelan was recorded in the ITV documentary Undercover: A Year in Reform making racist and misogynistic remarks.
In one clip released from the ITV documentary he was shown involved in a conversation discussing a female Reform candidate from Solihull.
"If she was my daughter, it would still be bath night on a Thursday. I'll wash you properly this time," he said.
Mr Whelan was also shown complaining his comments online were being moderated in another conversation.
"Once one was mouthing off at me, some Asian lad, and I just put – it was struck off almost immediately – 'I'll tell you one thing, I've never been put on my arse by a f****** p***,'" he said.
Mr Whelan also discussed another female Reform candidate saying that he "would have been sniffing that seat as soon as she got up. If she'd have given me a hug I'd have f****** fingered her".
A spokesperson for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) confirmed to the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) Mr Whelan has now resigned after his profile was removed from SMBC's website saying there is a vacancy.
Mr Whelan, who had represented the Castle Bromwich ward and sat on the planning committee at the authority, also appears to have deactivated his Facebook page.
The former councillor, who quit the Reform UK group earlier this week, was originally elected at the local elections in May. He had been due to face re-election next year.
Two other councillors shown in the recordings, Cllr Alan Feeney and Cllr Jamie Campbell, are still councillors despite growing calls for them to also quit.
Cllr Feeney, Cllr Campbell are Mr Whelan are yet to respond to requests for comment from the LDRS.
Cllr Feeney is also a member of Birmingham City Council, where he is also facing calls to resign his seat.
A Reform UK group spokesperson said: "Reform UK Solihull strongly condemns the misogynistic and offensive comments made by cllrs Feeney and Whelan, who are both no longer Reform UK councillors.
"Cllr Campbell's comment was a joke in poor taste but with no malicious intent.
