Passengers travelling through Birmingham Airport can now enjoy a meal from popular pan-Asian chain Wagamama after the restaurant officially opened in the terminal's departure lounge.

The new 363-square-metre venue, located within the airport's commercial concourse after World Duty Free and towards gates 1-20, offers seating for up to 180 guests and will be open daily from 4am until the final departure.

Holidaymakers will be able to choose from Wagamama's well-known menu, including chicken katsu curry, ramen dishes, rice bowls and plant-based options.

A dedicated breakfast menu is also available for early-morning travellers, combining Asian-inspired dishes with traditional breakfast favourites.

The restaurant has been delivered in partnership with The Restaurant Group Concessions (TRGC), which already operates Giraffe and Indian Brewery at Birmingham Airport.

"It's a brand our passengers know and love, and its arrival brings even more choice, while strengthening the range of high-quality food and drink in the terminal throughout the day."

Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC, said the opening marked another milestone in the company's partnership with the restaurant chain.

The opening forms part of wider improvements taking place across Birmingham Airport, including a reconfigured airside area designed to improve passenger flow between shops, restaurants and departure gates.
