Our client is a boutique, highly established Independent Financial Planning firm, providing a highly personal and professional service to a loyal client bank of high-net-worth individuals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IFA Administrator who is looking to develop their career and move into paraplanning.

Working within a close-knit and supportive team, you will initially provide high-quality administrative and client servicing support to 1-2 Financial Advisers, whilst receiving direct development and training towards a Trainee Paraplanner position.

The Role

As an IFA Administrator / Trainee Paraplanner, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to 1-2 Financial Advisers.
• Managing client servicing requirements and preparing new business and client review packs.
• Obtaining accurate client portfolio valuations and producing valuation statements.
• Preparing client documentation, including new business applications, servicing forms, trusts, fee agreements and invoices.
• Submitting applications to product providers and monitoring progress through to completion.
• Maintaining regular contact with clients, Advisers and product providers.
• Managing the client onboarding process and ensuring all activity is completed in accordance with FCA regulatory requirements.
• Obtaining Anti-Money Laundering documentation and completing electronic checks for new and existing clients.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant client records using Intelligent Office and other back-office systems.
• Developing your technical knowledge across Pensions, Investments and wider financial planning.
• Gaining increasing exposure to research, report preparation and the technical aspects of financial planning.
• Progressively taking on paraplanning responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops.

The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and development, working closely with experienced Financial Advisers and gaining exposure to the full financial planning process.

About You

You will need to have experience of working within an IFA / Financial Planning environment, together with good knowledge of Pensions and Investments.

Experience of working with provider platforms and back-office systems is essential, with knowledge of Intelligent Office being advantageous.

You will be organised, technically minded and comfortable managing multiple priorities within a busy financial planning environment. The ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail is essential.

Excellent communication skills are also required, together with the ability to build strong and professional relationships with Advisers, high-net-worth clients and product providers.

Most importantly, you will have a genuine desire to progress your career into paraplanning and be keen to undertake further study and professional examinations with the support of the firm.
