We are partnering with a large, ambitious and growing international group to recruit a Head of Reporting & FP&A. This is a highly visible position, reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and working closely with senior leadership and board stakeholders across the business.

Based in Birmingham, West Midlands, this role offers an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong, ACA qualified reporting professional who enjoys financial reporting and controls but is keen to broaden their commercial exposure through FP&A, strategic decision support and M&A activity.

The successful candidate will lead the group reporting function while playing an increasingly influential role in budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, commercial analysis and strategic growth initiatives.

You will be joining a business experiencing significant growth and transformation, providing exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic projects and acquisition activity.

Key responsibilities include:

Group Reporting

  • Lead the monthly close and consolidated reporting process.
  • Manage the annual external audit and statutory reporting cycle.
  • Act as the technical accounting lead (FRS102), overseeing complex accounting matters and group accounting policies.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance across the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement, reporting efficiencies and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, advisers and key external stakeholders.

FP&A & Commercial Finance

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and performance reporting.
  • Deliver financial modelling, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Partner with operational leaders to support commercial decision-making.
  • Provide insight into key business risks, opportunities and performance trends.
  • Support investment appraisals and strategic growth initiatives.

Corporate Development & M&A

  • Support acquisitions, integrations and business growth initiatives.
  • Assist with financial analysis relating to potential transactions.
  • Work alongside senior leadership on strategic projects and investment decisions.

We are particularly interested in speaking to candidates who have started their career within a leading accountancy practice (Top 10) and are looking to move into a broader commercial finance leadership role.

You will likely possess:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise (IFRS / FRS102).
  • A track record within a large, multinational blue chip business.
  • Experience managing or leading external audit processes.
  • A desire to develop deeper FP&A, commercial finance and business partnering skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ambition to progress within a growing and acquisitive organisation.

Package on offer, depending on experience:

£95,000 - £110,000 + bonus, pension and healthcare
